Olivier Laurichesse’s father, Guy, grew grapes and distilled cognac in the seventies, leaving some of his eaux de vie in his cellar. Olivier discovered the cellar and decided to begin selling the now decades-old Grand Champagne cognacs, hence the title.

This single cask of Grande Champagne cognac was distilled by Claude Duluc. Though I had erroneously assumed this was the same Claude as the one who made the L.84, they’re just two different Claudes.
